Next “Mindful Awareness Practices” class starts May 12

WHAT: Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPs) are the signature evidenced-based educational programs of the Mindful Awareness Research Center (UCLA). Begin anew with this six week, MAPS- Level 1 class that includes a range of practices and concepts like working with pain, challenging situations, and/or difficult emotions. Anchored in feminist teaching practices, I teach this class to integrate mind, body and heart. This class builds a toolkit against the negative impacts of racialized and gendered inequities and challenges. We will learn practices to replenish ourselves so that we nourish resilience, compassion, and connectedness.
